With the socialism new rural reconstruction advancement, there aremore and more new houses in rural areas. But due to lack of planning andmanagement, which is included the lack of concern to thermalenvironment of the house in rural areas, and the thermal performance ofthe rural construction has not been improved. But to the research of thethermal insulation materials, the domestic experts and scholars focusedon urban buildings,and lack of attention to the research of materialswhich are fit for rural constructions. With the improvement of economy,the villagers have higher requirement to the indoor thermal environment.If to solve the problem of poor indoor thermal environment in ruralhouses,blindly to install air-conditioning, it is bound to waste energy,due to the poor heat preservation and heat insulation performance of ruralhouses. Therefore,it is important to research the insulation materialswhich is suitable for rural areas,and correctly guide villagers’ energyconsumption concept.This paper through granting the questionnaires and investigating thevillagers, which are about the energy consumption of four ruralresidential and subjective evaluation of the indoor thermal comfort,andthe indoor thermal and humidity test. The results show that70%surveyedresidential does not meet the requirements of indoor temperature andhumidity. We can see from the indoor thermal environment that only17%residents think is comfortable when stay at home. The adobe house’sventilation performance and summer indoor comfort is better thanbrick-concrete house.To select a typical brick-concrete house in the survey samples,thesurvey contents include the type and material of the roof,wall,andwindow of this building. Using the Energyplus simulation software toanalysis the roof before and after added the isolation materials. It find thatafter adding the isolation materials, the air-conditioning energyconsumption is greatly reduced,and analysis the effect of housingdirection to the air-conditioning cooling load,it find that when the housing in the southern and Northern Dynasties,the air-conditioningcooling load is far less that in the east-west direction.To select the special way of energy saving in rural areas,using theEcotect ecological simulation software to analysis the shading andlighting on a typical rural house, the result shows that inner shadingmethod is applicable to the house.
