| Pressures came from consumers, competitors, international trade, domestic and oversea laws and regulations in aspect about environmental factors, brought great challenges to the enterprise. Under the pressure, Green Design was proposed. Green Design is aimed to thinking about environmental attributes when product designed. Nowadays, Green Design has become an advanced design concepts. At the product design stage, materials selection is one of the most important links which decide whether we can meet the goals or not, so the materials selection strategies, in Green Design, are going to be a hotspot subject. The materials selection ask for choosing these have less environmental effect and less resource consumption ,in product design process ,as much as possible, namely, using Green Material(GM).In this paper, after analysis he study status about materials selection methods in product green design, we discuss the basic concepts and characteristics of the green design. We show the relationship between green design and traditional design, and then the main content of green design together with its key technologies were studied. We also present the standard to authenticate materials environmental attributes for the material life cycle assessment. There will set up a standard for materials environmental authentication in this article ,so that materials researchers producers and the users more care about the environmental effect when the materials are produced and used, which puts forward us to enhance the environmental attributes of the materials aimed to protect our environment. After studying deeply at how to select the right green materials, the materials selection principles based on environmental consciousness were proposed. According to the analysis factors effecting material selection, it issued a systematic frame and methods for green materials selection based on taking cost into account. This article establishes a fuzzy assessment system for green materials selection. Finally, there will be chassis of a WS2400 heavy-duty sport vehicle is proposed to validate the superiority of this theory, and was confirmed to be good, so this method has the practical meaning because of its guidance on practical works.The fuzzy assessment system for green materials selection proposed in this paper, can return its assess result to designer and producer, so that we can obtained more environmental friendly green products. |
