Reflection On The Change Of Shichahai Area

With the development of society and the progress of culture, people pay more attention to the unique regional landscape. Beijing local culture has increasingly become the focus attention of people. Although all sectors of society promote the protection of the old town area in Beijing , the distinguishing characteristics of local culture ,regardless of the old area or new block, is increasingly hard to find.This paper chooses Shichahai region, the only existing old area that has meaning of customs as a study target. Through the study about the history change process, the paper want to conclude it from space, structure and customs perspective. Referring to the success example abroad, the paper analysis the reasons it succeeded, in order to find some useful experience or methods, and hopes to be in the context of succession city, renew urban fabric, so that the new area become the continuation of the ole city`s life in the future of urban design.In summing up the results , the paper hope for the professional theoretical gain from the perspective of the causes of the current situation .all these studies are on the personal background knowledge and professional characteristics.
