The bulk carrier has appeared since the mid-1950s.As a whole,it is maintaining a strong increasing momentum.After World Warâ…¡,because of the whole world's keen demand of the bulk cargo transportation,the bulk carrier transportation plays a more and more important role in the marine goods traffic.The proportion in the total quantity of freight transportation is also getting bigger and bigger day by day.Because the volume of goods transported is large,the source is ample,the route is fixed and the loading and unloading is higher efficiency,the bulk carrier transportation can acquire a good economic performance.The bulk carrier has became an important part in the shipping industry.In the international shipping industry,the proportion of the bulk carrier is above 30%in the cargo transportation. The IMO inquisition shows that the amount of staple bulk cargo transportation has been increasing in recent years.From 2004 till now,the yearly growth rate attains respectively:5.9%,3.9%,3.9%.Along with the development of the world economy, the bulk carrier transportation still will keep higher growth power.This paper discusses the situation of the development of the bulk carrier intact stability software.The characteristics of the intact stability computation of the bulk carrier are the large data quantity,the high computation requests,many limited conditions and so on.Chapter 1 is the introduction.This chapter primarily introduces the bulk carrier's developmental trend,the present situation of stability research,the research content of the paper,as well as the technical route and general goals. Chapter 2 introduces the interpolation method.In the establishment process of this system,many interpolation calculations are involved and the interpolation method adopts NURBS.This chapter aims to enable the readers to understand this method as well as its application in this computing system better.Chapter 3 introduces the programming design language and the database visiting technology.Chapter 4 introduces how to get data from AutoCAD two-dimensional graph.For users' convenience to use this software to carry on the computation,the paper carries on the re-development to AutoCAD and realizes to read the data from AutoCAD and induct computing system's database file automatically.Chapter 5 is about this computing system and COMPASS data transfer.The main idea of this chapter is to introduce the database visiting technology and realizable method,as well as enter the data what is needed in the intact stability computation from the COMPASS and induct to this computing system.Chapter 6 is the development of an intact stability computing system WHUT-ISCS.The majority of this chapter introduces the loading principle of the bulk carrier,the intact stability computation as well as the development of computing system.The core of this procedure design is the bulk carrier's performance computation, the intact stability computation,and the ships' type,the loading condition and the navigation area choice involved in the process of computation.The part of performance computation mainly includes the hydrostatic performance curve table, the Bonjean curve table and the stability interpolation curve table.The intact stability computation is mainly includes the metacentric stability,the dynamical stability and the stability weighs.In the process of computation,various parameters' value has great influence to the result,because the parameter computation involves lots of linearity and the misalignment interpolation.The design of bulk carrier loading intact stability calculates software needs the author to have a firm professional foundation,acquaint with each link of lading,and have the unusual understanding to bulk carrier's loading.In consideration of the demand of actual usage,this procedure adopts Visual Basic 6.0 as a platform,takes MS-ACCESS and MS-EXCEL as the main database,and takes ADO(ActiveX Data Object)as the database visiting technology.The procedure adopts the block processing to handle different problems with mutually independent modules,in this way the maintainability of the project approach is better.
