Port container crane is a special wharf crane for loading and unloading containers. Most cases they are adopted to loading and unloading container ship in many special container wharf,owing to the large span and back reach,sometimes are used in back freight yard.With the fast development of economic,there are more and more requests about structure,performance of port container crane,and request shorten period as far as possible.This result in some problems in the development of port container crane:(1)Many design departments adopt FEM software at present,but it is almost a manual-software,that is manually creating model,manually getting result,it solves the calculation problem in a certain extent,but there are still some disadvantages,the efficiency of creating model and getting result is very low,what's more,the structure calculation of each port container crane is isolated,and the structure can not be calculated circularly,so the optimal design can not be realized;(2)CAE can not lead to CAD,and CAE just as a checkout tool of CAD.Structure design depond on experience too much.It means that the structure design is old-fashioned,it must lead to port container crane heavy,which causes material waste,bigger wheel pressure and high cost of dock building.So it restrict the development of port container crane; (3)Large-sized crane is confined by dead load for dock building cost,when the hoisting mechanism start or brake,it have a strong impact on the structure of the crane,which cause intense vibration;(4)Actually,the fatigue failure is one main inactivation of componets and structure members,the problem of crane fatigue failure is concerned.FEM,Visual Basic and parameterized method of modern design theory and methods are applied for the sake of advance design level and efficiency.A practical parameterized analysis software of FEM is created,so the efficiency is advanced and design period is shorten,which is very useful for design of large-sized port container crane.Additonally this dissertation bring forward idea about structure design led by the combination of experience and this software,in the interest of increasing functional,economical and reliability.The static strength and stiffness of steel structure are analysed using parameterized method and the FEM simulation software-ANSYS, based on the finite element method(FEM)and mechanic vibration theory.Based on analyzing characterisitic of fatigue failure,the paper discusses structure fatigue design rules and methods.The structure fatigue is checked by the Japanese standard of《Calculation Rules of Crane Steel Structures》(JIS B 8821:2004)according to the result of static strength.
