Automobile electric power assisted steering system which is one of the assisted power steering systems, has gotten more and more application on automobile, especially on the passenger vehicle in recent years. The working performance of EPS has direct influence on the automobile Handling and Stability .Meanwhile, the platform of EPS is most extensive used special equipment to test the performance of the EPS. Accurate, high performance and stable test-bed is the important equipment of the EPS during manufacturing and testing.In the thesis, based on the analysis of EPS working principle, according to the Automobile Industry Standard (the Technical Requirement and Test Method of Automobile Electric Power Assisted Steering System), EPS performance testing technology and method is researched and test-bed is developed.According to the test-bed requirement, torque sensor, current sensor, glossary, Data acquisition card, Encoder & Counter Card are selected; Testing software is developed based on VC under the environment of Windows Operating System. The software which including experiment setting up module, parameter setting modular and performance testing modular, adopted modularization designing method. Parameter setting modular is used to set up parameter according to the type of the steering system. Performance testing modular is mainly used to testing the performance of the steering system, and has the function of data collecting, processing, showing, storage, curve showing.Because of the harsh environment in industry actuality, besides wanted signal, some interfering signal may be collected. In this paper, combining with the requirement of EPS testing, hardware and software anti-interference measures are researched.
