The reducer is a kind of common transmission device, already widely is applied in production in every walk of life at present, the traditional reducer's design already can not satisfy the new request of the reducer's structure and performance to the enterprises. In order to solve the reducer's design question of the long design cycle, the high design cost, the low transmission quality and so on, The modern design method such as parameterization technology, optimized design technology, virtual prototypical technology and so on, is applied in the reducer's design. The parameterization technology is one kind of core technology of CAD software, is widely applied by the general designers, and obtains the good social efficiency .The virtual prototypical technology is an emerging technology;it has wide prospects for development and market. Through using the strong simulation technology and the entire life cycle coordination, it improves the product quality, reduces the development cycle and cost, and enhances the competitive power of enterprise. The application of virtual prototypical technique is at the research stage in our country's reducer profession, is not very mature;therefore this topic research will promote those advanced manufacture technology to apply in the reducer manufacture profession, enhances enterprises' ability of product development.On the basis of theoretical research of the reducer's parameterization modeling, making use of the data conversion connection between SolidWorks and ADAMS software, this article, founded the reducer's virtual prototypical platform, and carried on the simulation of virtual prototypical performance and the analysis of result to the reducer, realized the virtual design process :the virtual modeling, the virtual assembly and the system characteristic simulation. The paper's research content mainly includes: 1. It established the reducer's 3D national standard part storehouse and the reducer's product storehouse, realized the 3D modeling on the reducer's standard components and the query of components;2. It established the reducer's virtual prototypical model , completed the reducer's virtual design and assembly, and realized the reducer's parameterization design;3. Based on faint appraisal model, it carried on the appraisal of the reducer's design proposal and the optimized design of the virtual prototypical model;4. Discussing the model data conversion between Solid Edge and ADAMS software, it succeeded in finishing theconversion geometry model between the two kinds of software with the parasolid form;5. Through having carried on dynamics simulation of the prototypical model, it probed into key load situation and sport characteristic that key part bear and analyzed different impacts on systematic dynamics performance of operating mode, which offered the important basis for system optimization, vibration, analysis of the life-span of noise in the future.
