Practical And Theoretical Study On Characteristic Landscape Construction Of Towns In Yunnan

The development of small cities and towns is crucial to the process of urbanization in China,and which is relevant to the NEW RURAL DEVELOPMENT POLICY and the coordinated growth in city and country.So it is important to study theirs landscape nowadays,either in social or in landscape specialty development.Many scholars and specialists have paid more attention and take into consideration of the problems about the urban and rural landscape construction,and the landscape research has been hot in our country nowadays.The unique natural landscape and the minority culture make the traditional Yunnan mysterious.But,with the speedy urbanization developing in modern Yunnan,it is difficult for towns to adapt to the requirement of the great variety of fantasy nature and colorful culture in local situation because lack of the integrative landscape planning and design theory.Therefore, constructive destroy and destructive construction projects are seen everywhere,which make the traditional residential community's distinctive local style disappeared.The paper includes two parts:positive practical study and A theoretical study.According to the local resources and environments,the author,applying the domestic and overseas theories,studies Yunnan local natural factors and cultural factors which having influences on the towns landscape respectively, and thus forms the theoretical frame of characteristic landscape planning and design in towns,Yunnan.The contents are divided into five chapters in all.In the first chapter, introduces the study acknowledgement,the former study outcomes,and then makes clear and definite the research objective,question and definition terms. In the second chapter,main content is to study the natural factors that having influences on the small cities and towns' landscape.On the basis of the Yunnan geographical environment,plants diversity and climate diversity,the main natural factors are analyzed as the terrain feature,plants feature,water feature which totally make up Yunnan small cities and towns' natural landscape. And finally,there samples are analyzed to explain the ecological trend in landscape design.In the third chapter,cultural factors related to landscape are concerned.Due to diversity of Yunnan minority cultural landscape,the traditional residential community and its settlements,reflecting people's living experiences,are related closely to the ecological environment,local styles and signed with marks.Therefore,they are the most important foundation to create a modern landscape.As to beautiful and ecological agricultural feature,this is proposed to keep in small cities and towns.The three samples are illustrated to trend of cultural landscape design is to record the special historic event.The forth chapter analyzes on a positive practical project-Mile county town.Provide the information about Mile county town and its feature,and sum up the character feature in Mile.And then schedule the planning of survey.The result shows:the modern landscape in Mile meeting the needs of people's living style in the leisure society,and at the same time, promoting the tourism,is popular commonly.The last chapter is aimed at forming a theoretical frame about characteristic local style landscape in modern towns of Yunnan.In view the current problem of landscape construction, the author discuss the main contents and program of characteristic landscape, and then put forward the six principles,and methods of landscape design which are described as landscape patterns,main open space,landscape image and feather factors.
