| Service area is one of fundamental parts in expressway, an important mark to show expressway's perfection.Its disposition plays very important role in reducing the traffic accidents, optimizing the driving environment, raising the operational and social efficiency.The issue,which should be seriously considered during expressway plan and construction,is how to make facility disposition at service area suitable,to meet the demands of customers,to save the land and capital and to protect the environment.It is necessary to study the facility disposition at service area in expressway according to region characteristic, for there are difference in some factors,such as natural condition and economic development in china.The main contents and conclusions in this dissertation are as follow:(1) Two main reasons ,which causes problems existing in current service area's plan and use,are lacking suitable standards and unrationable disposition of facilities at service area.(2) Based on the analysis of demanded characteristics of vehicles, persons and cargos,their effect to the model and scale was disussed. The idea of service function,loction and interval should be considered in the plan and construction of service area was put up.(3) Effects of traffic flow on the facility disposition of service area was researched.The characteristic of traffic flow on expressway and on service area was studied.Three main factors,such as traffic,traffic constitutes and driving-in rate,were discussed.Finally,by using three typical service areas on the expressway of Anhui province as examples,the characteristic parameters of traffic flow were calculated, and the suitable scale for each facility in service area were determined.The size of service area was settled.The results of this dissertation will have positive significance in optimizing the disposition of service areas, exerting the service area's function, keeping accord between serving facility scale and traffic flow ,enhancing the overall level of service. |
