The hybrid electric vehicle satisfied the increasingly strict criterion of vehicle exhaust emission with its better performance on high fuel economy and low emission than the Conventional Vehicle, which is strongly depend on the cooperation of internal-combustion and electromotor. According to the car efficiency, power performance, sail mileage and city routine etc, parallel HEV is finally adopted. The HEV parameter design is one of the core technologies and a nice control strategy is the key to guarantee the low emission and fuel consumption. This thesis introduces the developments as follows:1. The basic structure, principle, advantages and disadvantages have been elaborated on; the power train of HEV has been designed and analyzed; the HEV type and work mode has been ascertained;2. After the analysis and configuration of powertain, the vehicle model and part models are built in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment;3. The accomplishment of basic parameter selection and matching based on the power requirement can achieve the objectives of low fuel and low exhaustion and good power performance. The validity of the matching was verified by simulated in typical drive cycles.4. In terms of the unexpected drop of SOC caused by controller, three controlling parameters have been imputed with fuzzy control rule to correct SOC and optimize emission. The waste gases emission have been effectively improved by fuzzy control and the fuel consumption remains excellent as well as power performance at the same time.
