The control of Reactive voltage is very important for improving security and economy of power system. The control of Reactive voltage for Power Plant Side is especially significant. Firstly the paper summarizes the development of the control methods of reactive voltage home and abroad. By the discussion of fact in power plant, the article fixes on the main scheme of AVC sub-station system for power plant side. In the field of control strategy, the paper calculates impedance of the system by self-study method in the request of master station. And then the paper established automatic-follow model of voltage control by gradual approximation method and restrictions for safety in the process of adjusting. Meanwhile, the article also makes a detailed discussion on adjusting in the special conditions.Based on Configuration Software, the paper designs the upper PC system of AVC sub-station system for power plant side. In upper PC system, it achieves receiving and disposal of the instructions, real time data disposal and optimum distribution of reactive power. The later PCs output instructions and achieve the control of reactive voltage for each generator in power plant.
