Brake is a important part of the mechanical driving, it was widely used in the mechanical braking system of mine,metallurgical,aviation,steel,electricity,water light industries, textiles, chemicals and transport sectors etc. In recent years, with the field of application of the continuous expansion and the continuous improvement of performance requirements, brake structure, shape specifications, performance, especially rubbing thermodynamics performance and applied materials have achieved great development, the development and standardization work of brake has made great progress at home and abroad. The competitiveness of the brake products greatly enhance. This paper with a non- latitude band / steel banding machine that are of the brake and disc brake for study. On the basis of brief analysis of brake friction and heat transfer problems theory mechanical and thermodynamic analysis has been done, the 3D solid model of band brake and disc brake's frictions was established, studied the transient temperature field by application of finite element method analysis. Specific research work includes:(1) Studied the brake friction and heat transfer basic theory, get a series of formula for thermodynamic analysis of brake friction just as heat transfer formula, formula for calculating the temperature field.(2) Non- latitude band / steel banding machines band brake mechanics and thermodynamics model was established, brake stable state and the transient state thermal reaction analysis has been done, the friction heat and between the frictional power relations was determined. Analyzed the assignment of friction quantity of heat between frictions, obtains the balance temperature and knew the frictions how can long-term continuous working.(3) Band brake thermal reaction model has established based on the ANSYS, obtains transient state of frictions temperature field distributed condition and the relations between temperature and time, got a theoretical basis for the band brake design.(4) Based on the mechanics model of new type disc brake, analyzed the braking accuracy. Based on the friction mechanics and thermodynamics mode of new type disc brake, mechanics and thermodynamics model and brake thermal reaction model based on the ANSY has established, obtains transient state of frictions temperature field distributed condition and the relations between temperature and time, got the theoretical basis for this new type disc brake thermodynamic analysis and design.
