With the enlargement of power systems and increasing requirement on people's routine power supply, power dispatching is much more importment in electric trade. Nowdays, most high-level power dispatching automation systems reduce the people's burdensome work, but large information, including alarming information, faulting information, at runtime conditions, especially under the adruptly fault conditions, occurs and comes forth into dispatching center. A simple and effective tool must be used to find quickly what is interesting, so as to master the state of the running system, forecast, detect and treat the fault as well. Concurrently, a great number of data need to be analyzed by engineers to instruct operations. An extral large power system, which may include thousands of buses, lauchs a challenge on how to organize, display its data with a suitable style to show the operators, and how to master and evaluate the system visually and quickly. The data displaying style is more important in power grid analysis system(PAS), e.g., while analyzing the relationship among power runtime flow, planning flow and transmission capacity.To those power system software vendors, the research emphasis is how to organize a friendly man-machine-interface, and provide a good, applicable, simple and visual means to ease the product management and dispatch. the leading development of visualization technology provide such an idea and way.Visualization technology research is present in this paper, 2D and 3D visualization process are realized. mainly including power flow lines, pie chart, bar, tables, contour line, contour pane, perspective, etc. Depending on these visualization processes, isolated and separated data in power system can be tied up concretely, then the interesting part can be found quickly and intuitively from current power grid system, the purpose of security, reliablity and economy of the running systems is achieved.In order to ensure software's stable upgrade, protect the user's existing investment, that is keeping comaptiblity with the older graph files, data parameters, the extend visulization system is built on the fundation of the power automation system. Simultaneously, some relative independ moudles are encapsulated(e.g, perspective part) so as to be used by third-party in its own visualization software.
