Study On Skin Texture Of Old City's Transformation And Extension From Inner Circumferential District Of Xi'an City Wall's Transfomation

This paper studis on stutas of the inner circumferential district of Xi'an City Wall, to restore the traditional style of the ancient city is a necessary prerequisite for it's reformatin and expansion. Extracted the texture relations from the traditional residental characters is the way to analysis the building community. It can arrange the modern construction rationable through research the scale of the traditional residental characters. The protection and extension of the road scale is the key to protect the characters of the ancient city. Based on the specific facilities of different buildings, the size of streets were determined, the relations between constructions and human developments were coordinated. Maintaining the historical heritage from the social activities to make it update with the reunification of the characters.The importance of the attitude to respect history and the protection of the characters between ancient buildings were stressed in this paper. Researching on the "Red Star Lane", one basic theoretical framework of the protection and transformation of the ancient city Xi'an were builded. It analysis the protection and updation of the planning, and provide a certain regular solution of the ancient city transformation.Through analysis the example and mechanism for the protection of the ancient ciry Xi'an, with the contents, principles and methods of the designing, the results of this researching comes out. The protection of the ancient city should be considered from various angles, multi-levels and directions. Points is the important historic buildings, line is the characters of community, plane is the protections of ancient city, these three aspects formate a network to rearch the harmonious unity between people, nature, city.
