Empirical Resolution And Strategic Planning Of Leisure And Recreation Space In Peripheral Areas Of Big Cities

Leisure and recreation has been one of the basic living needs for most people with coming of leisure era and acceleration of urbanization process. From the view of development experiences of some large cities in china, whether the recreation space is arranged rationally plays a decisive role in development of cities, and it not only concerns long vitality of cities, but also effects urban economic and social benefits. So, leisure and recreation space in suburban areas owing certain resources should be studied in that it is an indispensable content in guiding urban planning and helpful to improve life quality and promote economic development. For this reason, Xi'an Weiqu residence group is regarded as the research object in the paper and research about it will do help for development plan of chang'an district.The main content of this paper are as following. The important position and significance of leisure and recreation space in people's lives are firstly discussed based on review of domestic and foreign research about leisure and recreation, and the theoretical framework and research methods about the paper are subsequently put forward. Then the concepts of leisure, recreation and others are defined, and the constituting elements and basic forms and types of leisure and recreation space are described. The basic theories of urban leisure and recreation demand are discussed and structure and features of several typical urban leisure and recreation space are analyzed, and several ideal models of space structure about leisure and recreation are summarized in the third chapter which is a systematic analysis section. The fourth part is an example analysis section in which present status and development trend of leisure and recreation resources in the district are analyzed combining with current situation of Weiqu, and spatial structure models of leisure and recreation suitable for Weiqu development are presented according to the present patterns and terrain features. Corresponding policies about optimization of leisure and recreation space are presented in the fifth part from the view of city development, spatial allocation and resources utilization and three levels of community, city and suburbs. A summary of the whole article is given in the conclusion part and deficiency of the research and the prospect for further research are finally pointed out.
