A Study On The History Of Guilin Early-modern City Planning: 1901-1949

As a part of historical and theoretical research of Chinese early-modem city planning,this paper put great emphasis to study the changing process,content and practice of Guilin city planning during early-modem period,analyzes the characteristic of every period,takes some significant period into account,tries to reveal the characteristic of Guilin city planning and city development during early-modem period,discusses the academic value and modem reference as a typical senery tour city on Chinese early-modem city planning.The paper is composed of eight chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction,discusses the object,purpose,significance,content, methods and form of the study,as well as the domestic and foreign present condition of the study on Guilin city planning during early-modem period.The main body is from Chapter 2 to Chapter 7.Chapter 2 describes the development of Guilin city before early-modern firstly,then reviews the periods of Guilin city planning during early-modem period,introduces the process,and content of city planning in every period,then summarizes the character of it.Chapter 3-Chapter 5 focus on the importance of the various phases of planning,planning documents,construction activities,restructuring of the historical stagein accordance with the planning and development of modem historical study carried out in stages one by one.Guilin reasonable construction of the modem urban planning and development context.Chapter 6 focuses on modem urban landscape planning and construction of Guilin as a scenery tour city.Chapter 7 investigats the characteristics of modem urban planning of Guilin position from the city planning,urban planning paradigm,modem and the process of urbanization,and other aspects and features.Chapter 8 is conclusion,which summarizes the evolvement,the types and the effect of Guilin city planning during early-modem period,then introduces the condition of development of Guilin modem city planning,at the same time,this chapter also puts some after studying,tries to offer the thought.The paper purposes to gain an apocalypse from the study,provides a reference for future city development of Guilin and other modemized cities which have been feudal capital,makes the study has practical significance.
