Simulation Study On Marine Power System

The electric propulsion has become the important development direction of the marine propulsion by its superiorities, the research of it has been on the rise in the word. However, there are some problems in practical application. Therefore, modeling and simulating for marine electrical propulsion system is of great importance. The project simulated electric system of marine electrical propulsion with simulation software, with support from fund marine electrical propulsion simulation lab of national significant subject "marine engineer" in Wuhan University of Technology.The paper modeled and simulated electric system of marine electrical propulsion, which is based on concluding and summarizing the system mathematical model and combined with the experiment device of marine electrical propulsion simulation lab. The main work can be divided into two parts: system modeling and simulation analyses. First, summarized the mathematic model of diesel and speed governor system, synchronous generator and excitation system; analyzed the principle of distribution system and the control system for paralleling of synchronous generators.Secondly, established simulation model of diesel and speed governor system, synchronous generator and excitation system, distribution system, the control system for paralleling of synchronous generators, and load unit by components and MAST language in SABER ,which is based on mathematical model and basic principle of electric system. Then tested the Performance of each system to verify effectiveness of each system. Finally, assembled diesel and speed governor system, synchronous generator and excitation system, distribution system, the control system for paralleling of synchronous generators, and load unit to establish a whole electric system of marine electrical propulsion which is suitable for analyzing.Although some simulation model is predigested when they are set up, the result of simulation and analyses indicate the whole electric system of marine electrical propulsion simulated the practical system working conduction well in a certain extent, the result can be treated as prophase exploration of the simulation research of small-scale experimental device of marine electrical propulsion simulation lab.
