Today, marine electrical propulsion has been attached importance to many country armies and shipbuilding because of its advantages. With the research going deep and the technique becoming mature, it will be applied widely on warship and civil ship. Though, the research in this field is still on the first stage in China, it's developing quickly and the outlook is good. The project simulated marine electrical propulsion system with simulation software, with support from fund marine electrical propulsion simulation lab of national significant subject "marine engineer" in Wuhan University of Technology.Modern system simulation displays the system characteristic by running mathematic model in the simulator to achieve the motive of research and experimentation on simulation system. By now it has become a very important tool of researching complicated system in many fields. Comparing with normal marine propulsion, the power system of marine electrical propulsion is more complicated and it is a strong no-line system. Simulation and analyses of power system is an important part of marine electrical propulsion.The project research marine electrical propulsion system, simulate and analyses the system with software Saber, which is based on concluding and summarizing the system mathematic model. The main work can be divided into two parts: system modeling and simulation analyses. First, knowing development of marine electrical propulsion domestic and oversea through document collecting and describing the advantage and disadvantage is described, then analyzing the structure and constitutes of different marine electrical propulsion used in warship or civil ship; at last, dividing the whole marine electrical propulsion into four sub-system according to the function and setting up the mathematic model of each sub-system. Thus, the modeling is accomplished; the next work is simulated and analyzed the system with simulation software. Selecting the most appropriate simulation software - Saber according to characteristic of different simulation software and introducing it simply; setting up the sub-system simulation model according to mathematic model; in theend, according to simulation model ship system structure, setting up the whole marine electrical propulsion system simulation model based on the sub-system simulation model and simulating, analyzing the system.Although some sub-system simulation model predigest when they are set up, the result of simulation and analyses indicate the whole marine electrical propulsion simulation model has good precision, it can simulated the actual system working conduction well in a certain extent, the result can be treated as prophase exploration of the little scale physics simulation that will be done in lab.
