Masonry structure is an important kind of the structures widely used in current buildings. With the accumulation of their service time and the development of demands on structural safety under earthquake, more attentions should be paid to reinforcement on masonry structure.As a new type structure, there were no reports and literature of the relevant studies on prestressed sector-bowstring structure at present. This paper mainly focus on some basic research as follow.Adopt the finte element analysis software ANSYS10.0 and carry out the nonlinear finite element analysis of the non- diagonal draw steel bar masonry walls and diagonal draw steel bar masonry walls under vertical upped load.The results indicate that the walls can greatly improve the cracking-resistance and earthquake-resistance of them, such as characteristic of stiffness resilience, ductility, energy consumption, the cracking-resistance of the prestressed wallsare greatly improved.The effcct is greater reinforced in prestressed than non- prestressed.In the application of the strengthening technology of diagonal draw steel bar for the block wall, aseismatic behavior of strengthened block walls was experimented under lower cycle reversal loads. Anasysis earthquake resistance performance of masonry, including hysteretic behavior, skeleton curves, ductility coefficient, energy dissipation capacity, stiffness degradation .The test result indicate: energy dissipation capacity and ductility coefficient will increases; the destroy form of structural change from brittleness to ductility.The strengthening technology of diagonal draw steel bar proposed a new technology of block walls.As the increase of the quantity of reinforcement, structural cracking load, ultimate load will increases.At last, some conclusions were drew on the experiment and thesis in this PaPer. And the author gave some distinetive adviees forfurther researehing andengineeringon diagonal draw steel bar reinforeement of masonry wall in the future.
