As an important part of belt conveyor, take-up system has the most important role for the steady run of belt conveyer. This paper has descripted the uses of the take-up and its type, native and international research trends,principal of installation, development, and analyzed the principle of the belt conveyer transmission, suggested on the requirement of the belt conveyer for tension and take-up. And as soon as according to type, arranging known pick-a-back conveyor, have given its calculation that asked for tension and take-up example.Through the analysis for various take-ups, comparison and the research on domestic and international related subject, designed a kind of new automatic take-up, the electro-hydraulic proportional control automatic take-up. This paper has at the same time introduced the overall design scheme of the automatic take-up, include its mechanical structure, control scheme and hydraulic system, elaborated its working course and each composition part of the automatic take-up.The simulation model of hydro-viscous speed-adjusting clutch is built with three-dimension solide modeling software UG and is built in the analyzing software ADMAS of mechanical system dynamics in the form of Parasolid; and has carried out computer emulation for it with ADMAS, study the dynamic characteristics of the hydro-viscous speed-adjusting clutch by varied torque be applied to. The simulation curve can better reflect the dynamics characteristic of the hydro-viscous speed-adjusting clutch brake.With the tool of MATLAB/Simulink, the simulation model of the electro-hydraulic proportional control automatic take-up is buil,and offers the simulation results. the electro-hydraulic proportional control automatic take-up system is simulation researched to get the angular velocity changing curve of winch when the rope is rolled in and released , and get the strain changing curveof conveyor belt.The automatic take-up takes winch as action element, and comprises of hydraulic system, feedback system of the tension sensor and electronic controlled system, It is a typical product which is integrated by mechanic hydraulic and electronic, and it has the ability of automatic adjusting of the belts' tension, rapid respond velocity, better adaptability, convenient control, good safety and prefect function, and has the better promotion and application prospect.This paper theoretically analyzes the feasibility of electro-hydraulic proportional control automatic take-up of belt-conveyer. The paper offers theoretical guides to the future production.
