The high arch dam which built in complex ground degree of security appraisal until now waits for researching .Unifies thehighest RCC arch dam in the world--Wanjiakouzi RCC arch dam in Yunnanprovince. With regard to overall stability analysis this paper has done some preliminary studies on this question in this aspect,and based on it has discussed in the complex ground arch dam the whole stable degree of security appraisal method.Finally applies to Wanjiakouzi RCC arch dam stable degree of security appraisal.At first, some basie theories sueh as nonlinear finit eelement are introduced in this paper. Researching RCC high arch dam failure mechanism and bearing capacity with numerical calculus method. Taking arch dam and the ground system as the research object,taking the appraisal basis by arch dam and the ground system whole working ability in the appraisal Wanjiakouzi RCC arch dam. Used the three dimensional non-linear finite element value emulation technique to appraise the arch dam overall degree of security by reduces the dam body and shoulder material shearing strength and hydraulic pressure overload. Summary dam displacement and stress distributed rule; Promulgates its destruction process and the failure mechanism through carries on the analysis and the contrast to the calculation result.Providing the reference for Wanjiakouzi RCC arch dam project practice.
