Research On Methods Of Air Traffic Congestion Measures

Recently, with the rapid development of civil aviation, air traffic is becoming busier and busier. Therefore, the "air traffic congestion" problem and flight delay is becoming more and more serious. Without any hesitation, we should put forward a scientific index system of the air traffic congestion measures and then bring forward effective measures, which help the scientific management of air traffic management (ATM) units. Compared with urban traffic, in many developed European countries, the research on air traffic congestion has already begun since 2006, while the relative study has not begun in China.According to the existing requirement, this dissertation will firstly analyses the characters of the air traffic congestion, and compare the air traffic congestion and the urban traffic, and then put forward an index system of air traffic congestion measures, which is practical in the air traffic management of our country. Secondly, this dissertation will apply two methods, which is called classifying status method and trend evaluating method. Finally, the dissertation will apply the method into an example, which helps forecast the air traffic developing trend and sustain the operating control of flights.This dissertation puts forward a new comprehensive index-system of air traffic congestion and quantifies these measures. What's more, classifying status method and trend evaluating method are applied in the example of an airport traffic operation.
