Vehicle suspension is one of the most important assemblies in modern automobiles.The stand or fall of chose in suspension structure style and performance parameters have direct influence in vehicle ride comfort and handling stability.The paper processed kinematics simulations and lower-control arm's force solutions to the front Macpherson suspension,then did static finite element analyses and modal analyses.The mainly work author did contain:(1)Built simulation model of front Macpherson suspension system in Car module of software ADAMS.(2)Worked out the result curves of localized parameters during up-and-down movement simulation analyses of front Macpherson in compliant model.Researched the influence relationship of localized parameters to vehicle performance,explained the unreasonable of the vehicle parameters,and optimized the localized parameters,improved the vehicle performance,which let the simulation model be more rational.(3)Based on the vehicle performance,processed Macpherson suspension kinematics simulation,which got the force of bush to lower-control arm by sprung mass.(4)Built lower-control arm model with complex surface in software Pro/Engineering.(5)Built finite element model of lower-control arm in software ANSYS,and then researched the reasonable flow of building finite modeling,in which the author discussed the method of finite mesh and technology of mass control.(6)Researched the static sturcture characteristic through static analyses to finite element model of lower-control arm,from which we can judge whether the vehicle met the required capability by deformation and stress distributing circumstance.(7)Investigated the lower-control arm's inherence vibration characteristic and checked whether the inherence frequency activated the vehicle resonance by modal analyses to the finite elment model of lower-control arm.(8)Researched the error source in finite analyses,and brought forward reasonable suggestion of lower-control arm structure based on kinematics analyses and finite analyses,so provided a foundation to suspension structure optimal design.
