Design And Implementation Of IED Configurator Based On IEC61850

IEC61850 is the unique international standard about the substation automation system communication published by the International Electrotechnical Commission,it is used to unify the communication network system to improved the interoperability,openability and extendability.The object-oriented technology and ACSI(Abstract Communication Service Interface)is used in this standard.,IEC61850 is separate on the special protocol stack,this make the application decoupled and isolated with the communication.It provides an approach to realize the interoperability and seamless communication integration for IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)that from different manufacturers.Especially the SCL(Substation Configuration Lang-uage),it makes the self-description of the IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)become possible.This paper introduces the backgroud of IEC61850 generation and recent research status of substation configurator based on IEC61850,especially the IED congiurator.Up to now,the research about Substation configurator at home and abroad are mostly still in theory exploration stage.Although a few manufacturers's products based on IEC61850 already available,such as:ASE's Visual SCL for IEC61850,however,the engineering process of substation configurator is a long-term, persistent process.Substation configuration include system configurator and IED configurator,this paper study the IED configurator.The configuration process of IED is introduced in this paper.The design idea about IED configurator is proposed.That is,the function analysis and fuction's concrete realization methods of IED configurator.Some functions are designed such as generating CID(Configured IED Description)document,exploring SCL document and checking XML grammer.Finally,a IED configurator prototype system is constructed based on Visual C++.Regarding a SCD(Substation Confiuration Description)document of a medium-sized substation,this paper use the IED configurator generate the corresponding CID(Configured IED Description)document by extracting the related information about the target IED.Finally,this paper discuss that IED how to use CID(Configured IED Description)document to generate object model.This paper provides a useful exploration for efficient and flexible engineering of IED configurator through the study about IEC61850 and design of IED congfigurator.
