The paper discribes the research and the discussion on the small excavator cab's ergonomic interface designing. A good ergonomic interface can not only raise operating efficiency of pilots, improve operational comfortableness and reduce driving weary, but also have a very important role of pilots' operational security. The research has further consummated the domestical excavator cab' s theory on ergonomic interface designing, provides the theory and reference of the designing data for the domestical excavator cab. It has the positive significance to reduce excavator's development cycle and costs, and raise the excavator' s technical level and the added value. The first chapter describes the development and the application in the construction machinery industry. It has introduced ergonomic interface research situation in the domestic and foreign academic circle and the small excavator manufacturers, and drawn out the goal and the significance and the primary content of the article through the small excavator cab' s development and features of ergonomic interface.The small excavator cab' s ergonomic designing is a complex system, the second chapter describes requirements of the overall designing in a small excavator cab, propose the related principle and requests for the cab' s designers.Cab's security is the essential condition of the comfortableness, the third chapter introduces the concept of the security cab and the ROPS/FOPS in detail, has made a profound elaboration to the ROPS/FOPS' experiment standard and the requests, and has carried on the finite element simulation and the examination designing to the domestical excavator cab' s ROPS/FOPS.The fourth chapter researches on the ergonomic interface designing of the cab, the paper has carried on the examination designing to the cab' s vision, the arrangement of instrument board and the instruments, the chair interface, the operating equipment and the cab working space so on through the ergonomics concepts of H spot, the eye ellipse, the manikin and the hand extending. It has enabled to satisfy the physiology comfortableness requests well.Finally, the paper carried on the fuzzy quality synthetic evaluation to the excavator cab comfortableness, It has established the slightly dug of the cab comfortableness evaluation system and the evaluating indicator parameters and the weighting parameters according to pilots' practical experience. It has carried on fuzzy appraisal through blurring operation, provided the mentality for cabs' quality synthetic evaluation.
