In the early stage of development in engineering machinery, functional and practical value is the core of the product design. Along with the progress of the era and the competition of industrial products, the simple function and practical has been replaced by industrial design advocate of human nature and efficiency.The application of ergonomics in the large excavator cab is not only beneficial to the development of the whole construction machinery industry, also can enhance value of the enterprise product.This article with "75 m~3 large excavator cab" as the research object, this paper briefly introduces the man-machine engineering application in construction machinery industry background, using the principle of ergonomics in large excavator cab work station for the solution of the H point and eye ellipse. Optimizing the size of the work station data, it makes drivers have a good operation posture; And on the basis of the research on the shape of the bridge and the inner chamber, the modelling of the corresponding has been analysis. In addition, in this paper, the design of large excavator cab development was discussed, and a large excavator equipment cabin of excavator production enterprises has been to redesign. In this paper, the main research contents and characteristics are as follows:(1) Based on the research of the excavator cab design at home and abroad,and the basic principles of ergonomics and basic research, the basic requirement of human body model is established and the design and arrangement of the cabof the basic ideas is put forward. And some concrete data and research status are analyzed and expounded.(2) through the H point and the eyellipse theory in the application of ergonomics, suitable for large excavator cab are analyzed and the H point solving principle is concluded, putting forward the H point congeniality line method and the traditional H point, with the method of solving, ultimately determine the suitable for large excavator cab H point area and eye ellipse.(3) Using CATIA software to solve the H point domain has carried on the computer simulation and the eye ellipse, and it got high comfort score; And on the size of the concrete in the actual human body pressure test, the results were showed higher seat comfort.(4) In use of industrial design methodology, on the basis of the cockpit ergonomics research, it has carried on the back to large excavator cab design,completed the cab modelling design, function layout, optimization design of the inner chamber, and the research work station of the man-machine engineering data is applied to design, completed the final design results and output.To sum up, this article uses the basic principle of ergonomics, using H point congeniality line method and the traditional H point solving method of combining the work station of excavator cab design and improvement of the man-machine engineering. And through the industrial design method on the shape of the bridge and the inner chamber layout design, completed the design of 75 m~3 large excavator cab task, get the recognition and application of related businesses. The excavator operation comfort and work efficiency has been positive significance.
