Research On Construction Safety Management Efficiency Based On DEA

The state of construction safety management can affect the safety level of construction as well as whole project. However, most of its analysis approaches in the world are single and partial, which couldn't offer enough comprehensive information in order to find out the condition of the management. So it is badly embarrassing the durative and healthy progress of construction that construction safety is usually mentioned lightly even ignored.In this paper, data envelopment analysis (DEA) is organically combined with the validity analysis of construction safety management at full steam. And it is also provided to perfect and standardize the way of analyzing construction safety management validity. Using DEA as a framework of research and considering the characteristics of construction safety management, the kernels and difficulties in integrating the two things are analyzed step by step. Then a conceptual model of analyzing construction safety management validity is founded based on perfect index system of the analysis.First, this thesis amply discusses the system of construction safety management, and showed the contents of the management from different aspects. Then the principle, general model and applied conditions of DEA are probed for practicing this method later. Adapting the characteristics of DEA, this dissertation studies construction safety management from system angle, and establishes its input and output indexes system. Finally, the research model of construction safety management assessment system of China based on DEA is founded, into which steps is also probed in details.At the end, applying the model to the deep research of the construction safety management of China in 2005, this paper proves that the model is practicable and reasonable. After this a conclusion is drawn.All the research in this paper could provide a powerful tool to optimize the efficiency analysis of construction safety management, meanwhile it can be used for reference to develop the management, and inject fresh blood into the management.
