Study On Portable Digital Music Electrotherapy Instrument

Based on the Meridian (Jing-luo) Theory and the Theory of music therapy and with absorption of the characteristics of electrotherapeutics, Music electrotherapy is a new method of healing and treatment, which has dual functions of stimulating the acupuncture point and music treatment. Although this therapy in our country has over ten years'history, the development of Music electrotherapy Instruments is still much far behind the time request and world advanced level. Aiming at design of a new type of portable and digital Music electrotherapy Instrument, the experiments has made a prototype one and has completed its adjustment.This thesis has first carried on the thorough analysis to the musical electrotherapy theory. The study takes portability and digitization as the principle of design, which conforms to the development tendency of the modern medical instrument. Using MP3 digital form music as the sound source, the instrument has superior acoustic fidelity. Using Class-D digital amplifiers in the Music electrotherapy Instrument to realize high power amplification for the first time in China, it enhanced the efficiency and reduced the power consumption. Using LCD to show the treatment signals which acquired by the ultralow-power consumption MSP430 series microcontroller, the treatment signals turn out to be more visual. Using the USB interface and the VC++ compiler, the treatment signal can be observed on PC.The music electrotherapy instrument prototype possesses the characteristics of small size, light weight, little distortion, and strong load capacity. Using lithium battery as the power supply, it can continuously work at least 4 hours. Simulate clinical experiments show that the music electrotherapy instrument prototype has some curative effect in treatment of insomnia and neurasthenic.
