As construction projects are increasingly planned in western China, more and more large-scale hydraulic engineering projects are located in gorges with narrow passages. The construction transportation system is extremely tangled and paths are crisscross together in space-time. So how to program construction transportation system in order to make construction schedule on time is one of the most important problems that get designers'attention. One of the most useful methods is modeling and analyzing transportation system by means of computer simulation technique.But there are some drawbacks in recent researches. The effect of truck running operation is neglected, although the relationship among transportation system, construction schedule, field arrangement and other structures'construction are taken into consideration in modeling. Truck is supposed running with average velocity, no acceleration, no deceleration, no overtaking. So important information, such as transportation equipment production, transportation intensity and congestion are not creditable according to the simulated results. Equipment arrangement optimization is likely unreasonable, which will result in construction cost increasing. Because of the limitation, this dissertation focuses on construction transportation system analysis and simulation model establishment of hydraulic engineering project. Finally, this model is applied in Nuo Zhadu project. Main contents are as follows:1. Analyze critical factors that have effect on truck running status based onspecialties of hydraulic engineering transportation system and classify driving behavior into four categories: free driving, following driving, overtaking driving and intersection driving. Then hand out simulation model individually.2. Divide driving behavior control system into two levels: general control and function control. Then set priority control level under the hypothesis of safe-driving.3. Develop simulation model of construction transportation system in hydraulic engineering by Visual C# programming language based on discrete system simulation theory, and get practical application in Nuo Zhadu project.
