Recently, energy conservation has been paid on great importance by government and enterprise. The load categories and improper reactive power compensation appeared in the distribution network of oil recovery station leads to inferior power factor, serious power loss on the distributing line as well as low power quality, the direct result of which is the energy waste. However, as one of the important measure to improve voltage quality and reduce power loss, the reactive power optimization for distribution network provides an effective method to assure the safely and economically operation of distribution network. Therefore, it is significant to research effectively and practical reactive power optimization method of distribution network.According to research and study in oil field, the thesis makes a reactive power collocation method for the oil recovery station. On the basis of comparison between different power flow calculating methods in common use, the forward/backward sweep method based on branch current is adopted and modified further more. Then the problems existed in the process of distribution network reactive power optimization by SGA is found out by applying it to practical example.On basis of above research, the SGA is modified in the following aspects: the modified fitness function which increases the difference between fitness of chromosomes, the modified initial population and termination criterion, the chromosome inquiry mechanism which saves calculation time, the gap and best insert mechanism which assure the convergence of algorithm as well as the modified mutation and crossover rate matching with evolving process.The most important, the MGA brought up is combined with TS, forming a new algorithm of TGA. Then, the three kinds of algorithm are used in the reactive power optimization of the practical distribution network in Xianhe Oil Recovery Station of Shengli Oil Field. The results show that the TGA algorithm not only has high calculation efficiency but high precision. The new algorithm is reasonable and effective.Finally, a distribution network reactive power optimization analysis system is designed by use of the GUI platform provided by Matlab tool.
