Vibration bowl feeder is a most popular parts-feeding device, it has direct influence on the cost and the reliability of the automatic product system. The automatic level in the industry field is lasting improved, which demand us to design the vibration bowl feeder's track more efficiency.By introduce GT(Group Technology) and Computer Aided Technology , on the base of analyzing and researching parts classification coding, parts attitude probability, auto oreintation device and the related computer environment, The paper make up a CAD system for the Vibration bowl feeder design, in order to give designers some help. The principle conclusions of the paper is:1. GT is used in the design of the Vibration bowl feeder's track, by using the codes, parts with similar characters will be classified into different group, one group can be dealt with one method, so much time and cost will be saved and the efficiency will be improved.2. On the base of the coding system in existence, the codes representing parts attitude have been added, so the codes will cover more complete parts'information.3.Having analyzed theory of auto orientation and using experiment measure, discovered some orders about parts attitude probability distributing when vibration bowl feeder is working.4. The vibration bowl feeder CAD system is designed, on the base of the close combination of the program software,the data-base software,the system could search the hopper and the track which is fit for orienting the parts, in order to help the designers.5. The system has the ability of the knowledge learning and experience accumulating, during the use, the database will lasting expand and the function of the system will be strengthened.
