In principal western developed countries, building energy consumption takes up more than one third of the total. Although the levels of our socio-economic development and living standards are not very high, the ratio of building energy consumption to total is increasing to 30% accompanied by rapid economic development, so it is urgent to strengthen energy-saving construction work.In Shenzhen, a developed city on coastal area, the rapid growth of building energy consumption in recent years kept the demand for electricity rising rapidly, which makes the energy situation rather severe. In 2007, the peak load of Shenzhen reached as high as 10,180,000 kilowatts, makes it the fourth city whose largest electricity load is more than 10,000,000 kilowatts. Such situation has caught Shenzhen great attention on energy-saving affairs, and it is necessary to speed up the pace of establishment for 65% of residential building energy-saving system. At present, the main districts in northern China, as well as Shanghai and Chongqing, which have hot summers and cold winters, have already achieved the energy-saving building designing standards of 65%. The energy-saving principle involved in the standard is the same, but emphases differ on technical system, which primarily depends on the different characteristics of climate, economic and technological development level, as well as the level of people's various lifestyle. In this paper, according to the development trend of residential buildings in Shenzhen, characteristics of climate and population, in conjunction with 50% of residential building energy-saving designing standards and actual implementation of the project in the standard of the general situation, by comprehensive consideration and scientific analysis, we found the economic reasonable and technical possible building energy-saving technology system to succeed in saving 65% energy in residential building for Shenzhen.By selecting 5 typical and representative constructions and simulating and analysing of building energy with DOE-2 software, it is achieved these three aspects through strengthening ventilation, shade outside the window with energy efficiency of air-conditioning equipment on the basis of 50% energy-saving residential building in Shenzhen, however, it will not emphasize on continuing to improve the thermal performance of building envelope (not including the outside window). It will be remained unchanged of 50% residential building energy-saving design standards for thermal properties of envelope (not including the outside window).Through technical means and economic analysis, it is determined technically feasible and could be controlled within reasonable limits by the incremental cost, when achieved 65% residential building energy-saving with this technical system.
