Temperature measurement has been applied in the automation field, which includes factory, power, building, metallurgy, granary, components aging, and so on.CAN bus is one of field bus which accords with international standard. It has significant advantages of simple structure, good real-time performance, high reliability, strong anti-interference ability, low cost, and so on. The multipoint temperature measurement system which will use this new technology will have superiority. In this paper field bus technology is used in measurement and control instrument, so it has the capability of digital computing and digital communication, the node have the ability of inspection, control and communication. The corresponding controlling software also has been designed.In this paper, the research work around the following: Analyzing the problem of Distributed Control System(DCS), combining with the demand of application and the property of Fieldbus Control System(FCS), considering property and price, technique solve plan and feasibility study was put forward; Combined with actual on-site industrial applications, I took into account the structural optimization of hardware, hardware anti-interference ability, minimized the size of the system and reduced the cost of hardware. According to the design of hardware, using compilation language to write software controlling program, the hardware communicate with PC; Based on the demand of application, multiple point temperature itinerant detection system has been designed. The monitoring to single node and multi-node has been realized. Using VB programming language to write software engineering, the final program will be debug, modify to assure the system steady run.In the article based on intelligent node temperature of the CAN bus, on-site temperature can be passed between smart nodes and signals of temperature field can be upload quickly and accurately. Field nodes can be added and deleted on the bus as you will; the whole system can't be affected. Through multiple point temperature itinerant detection system, PC can be detected at the scene of the nodes operating conditions and forecasts in a timely manner, the system will reduce the degree of risk to a minimum, and greatly improve the management efficiency. Circuit and its writing of the system is simple and reliable, the cost of it is low ,protection function of hardware and software is strong, there is a wide range of application space in low-cost automation.
