With dwindling oil resources and the deteriorating environment, but the automotive demand is growing, the energy and emission problems become more and more serious. Therefore developing a hybrid vehicle as the representative of the clean vehicle is imperative. Taking the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) fault diagnosis recording system as the investigation subject, taking real-time recording information and recording the data when the fault appearance as the object about the electric control units and HEV running control parameters, This paper developes the fault derived recording system. The system can be used to provide abundance data for HEV whole vehicle matching, establishing and optimizing security control strategies and fault analysis after the fault appearance in the HEV development process. At the same time, the system can monitor the fault and display information simply.Through analyzing the design requirements, determining the CAN bus and the K line are the data source of the fault diagnosis recording system, this paper presents the on board network data acquisition storage scheme base on USB interface.This paper designs the circuit of the data acquisition, display and the USB host/device mode storage and so on, describes the circuit design about electromagnetic compatibility and anti-jamming.Using the C language modular program design completes the system initialization, network communication module, man-machine interactive module, and USB storage module design.The test data processing software base on LabVIEW is designed in this paper, realizing the off-line data read, display and fault recognition function, which provides a quickly utility tool for fault diagnosis and data analysis.In the HEV winter running experiment, this system running stability, the data recorded completely. In the off-line data analysis process, the data and the information display very visual and convenience, and these data and information can reflect the vehicle state of running very well.
