Along with the steel structure especially the complicated large space steel structure and super high steel structure extensively applied in industrial and civil architecture, the mechanical properties and connecting modes of many structure joints are becoming more and more complicated gradually, general joint forms already haven't adapted to the complicated bearing system in the side of conformation and fabrication process. Therefore, in the process of the complicated joint designing and constructing in steel structures, the engineers are favor of the cast steel joints more and more, which have good applicability.Several achievements about theory analysis, mechanics performance research and the full-scale load test of cast steel joints have been obtained in domestic already, while the installation technique of complicated huge cast steel joint hasn't been summarized systematically. So the paper mainly researches and analyzes the whole installation process of complicated huge cast steel joint through the angle of construction.The paper introduces the whole installation process of the extremely high altitude huge cast steel joint of Shanghai World Financial Center project. Through researching the installation technique of the extremely high altitude huge cast steel joint, there are four innovation and breakthroughs in installation process and analysis method of huge cast steel joint:â‘ Second fabrication of the huge cast steel joint. The huge steel casting made in Japan is machined secondarily in domestic factory, each ramification of the huge cast steel joint is welded with a short corbel, whose material character is same to it of main structure connecting with the huge cast steel joint. Then different steels welding of the huge cast steel joint can be avoided in the extremely high altitude, which guarantees the welding quality of the huge cast steel joint to a certain extent.â‘¡GPS measure of the huge cast steel joint. When the huge cast steel joint is measured by the routine method, GPS is also used to statically and dynamically measure the feature points of the huge cast steel joint, which checks the results of routine measure.â‘¢Dangerous sources analysis of the huge cast steel joint installing. In order to guarantee the construction safety, dangerous sources of the huge cast steel joint in the extremely high altitude installation are analyzed specially. And especially take high fall as an example, all possible factors that can make high fall accident are analyzed by dint of fault tree analysis, at the same time, relevant safety measures are brought forward, which prevent high fall.â‘£Application of remote acceptance and monitoring system. The huge cast steel joint need to stay much time in the extremely high altitude when it is installed, and the installation position nears the outer edge of the building, it is dangerous for the workers. So remote acceptance and monitoring system is used to monitor the whole process and accept the results of the huge cast steel joint installation, which is first used in China and is useful for the huge cast steel joint installation successfully in the extremely high altitude.The paper will not only provide references for installing cast steel joint and compilling construction rule of cast steel joint hereafter, but also push the application and development of huge cast steel joint in steel structure engineering of our country and promote the use of new crafts and equipments.
