With the development of the transportation ,we has made considerable progress in the design theory and constructual technique of asphalt pavement.However, for it is not perfect in the design theory of asphalt pavement as well as the problem in raw material and construction control ,the probleme of premature failure and shorter service life of asphalt Pavements is day by day prominentit. Therefore, Using the design idea of perpetual asphalt Pavements aboard, combing the concrete condition of our country and studing perpetual pavements has great significance and useing value .The paper begins with investigation, analyzes the domestic and international asphalt pavement structures and use of basements,researches on the existing problems and their causes of asphalt pavement in China and advantages of perpetual asphalt pavement from the aspect of structure. Through study the design factors of asphalt pavement Structure,that is traffic parameters , environmental factor ,soil condition and material modulus ,the author also propose the design procedure of perpetual asphalt pavement. According to the Characteristics of Semi-rigid basement and flexible basement and combing the requirements of perpetual pavement,the paper put forward corresponding structure combination Principle. For furtherly study the reasonable thickness of perpetual asphalt pavement,the author calculate and analyze the effect of flexible basement and Semi-rigid basement on the key index of perpetual asphalt pavement,which is named tensile strain of asphalt layer bottom,vertical compressive strain and Surface Shear Stress. Then,through calculate and analysis domestic and foreign six types of typical perpetual pavement, three kinds of asphalt pavement structures which is suitable for our country has been recommended ,that is perpetual Pavement stucture of Semi-rigid basement, perpetual pavement stucture of compound basement, perpetual Pavement stucture of inverted basement. At the meanwhile, the author analyze the characteristics and advantages of the three kind of stuctures, and provide evidence for reasonably select perpetual asphalt pavement Structure as well.
