The Study On Design Of The Sign System For The Palace Architecture Of The Ming And Qing Dynasties

Since 30 years'reform and opening-up, China has already opened to the public to welcome the guests and friends coming from the world everywhere. As the representative of the traditional Chinese culture, the Ming and Qing Dynasty palace architecture manifests great historical role and practical significance. And the theory of the sign design has been widely accepted in our country in recent years, the excellent ones can easily help people to gain information, definite position, and reach the destination easily and quickly.As the palace architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties attracts numerous tourists, this investigation remains having specific practical significance. Combining the sign design theory with the traditional culture, it will give the modernists much better guidance for visiting.In terms of the design, this paper aims to achieve the unity between the sign installations and the environment, and embodies the characteristics of the traditional culture, meets the demands of visiting especially.The first part of this paper is about the theory of sign design. Then it carries out the feature of the art and the culture of the Ming and Qing Dynasty palace builds. By the analysis of the imperial palace in Shenyang, the paper combines the theory of sign design with the art of the traditional builds, and summarizes the policy of the programme that the design must reflect traditional culture, suit the environment and provide good function. And the policy gives directions to the following design.The paper comes to the conclusion that the sign design for the traditional builds must focus on the state of the country, combines the culture of ancient and modern times, and promotes the using of the sign design theory on the Culture Heritage.
