| Palace Architecture is an important constituent of the ancient architecture of China. It was the ruler's imperial palace, the chamber, and also the symbol of the status. Owing to the special status, Palace Architecture reflects the maximum construction level in the material, the technology and the artistic performance at that time. They are the precious wealth of humanity and the crystallization of wisdom. They offered us an essential way to study Chinese timber frame system. Few Palace Architectures were left, because of the difficulty of preservation as well as other reasons. This led the research of the existing Palace Architectures, which became the essential part of Chinese Palace Architecture research into necessity.This thesis attempts to find a method to study Chinese Palace Architecture from the deep level through the cultural phenomenon research of the Palace Architecture of Qing Dynasty. Summarized predecessor's experiences, absorbed, and inherited the traditional culture essence, we are seeking the new thought on the research of Chinese traditional Architecture, the protection as well as the modern architectural design.We combine the method of the culture research with the method of giving examples and analysis in the architecture research. Using the culture mobile fundamental research of the cultural sociology, we studied the development, the change of structure style, the evolution of the decoration style of the Palaces architectures of Qing Dynasty, and a series of questions correlated with the culture. Based on the certain historical material and on-the-spot investigation, this thesis carried on the analysis, the comparison, the induction and the summary, gave clear and systematical viewpoints.The thesis mainly conducts the research on the Palace Architectures of Qing Dynasty from the following three aspects.Firstly, use the elementary theory of the cultural science to discuss the production, the development of Palace Architectures'culture of Qing Dynasty, the relation with the natural environment and the social environment.
