Renewable energy is foundation of future energy; its project is friendly to environment. Renewable energy industry mainly has the problems that the high cost of generate electricity technology and relatively narrow in capacity with market. To solve this problem, except reducing production cost as much as possible, we should consider and quantize environmental benefit of renewable energy project fully in terms of environment.Life cycle assessment(for short LCA) is a kind of method to carry on resources and environmental analyze and assessment to products system's life cycle course, which is involved in the collection of raw materials, process, produce, pack, transport, consume, recovery, final treatment and other course about life cycle. Using life cycle assessment method to quantitative analysis environmental benefit of renewable energy project can more systematically and roundly quantize its environmental positive contribution.This thesis is on the basis of analyzing and reviewing basic theory and current research situation of life cycle assessment, draws lessons from domestic and international methodology research results, goes on systematic research about life cycle assessment method to renewable energy project, and sets up a life cycle assessment model for renewable energy project tentatively. This thesis expounds the concrete content and step which the model has used for carrying on life cycle assessment to renewable energy project in detail, and has discussed the questions that should be paid attention to in goal and scope definition, inventory analysis, impact assessment, interpretation and other link during the assessment, which including the basis for assessment scope definition, the principling of data collection, the accounting method of environmental impact potential value, the choose question of standardized basis and so on; And adds the content of life cycle environmental cost accounting into model, has made a concrete analysis to the method of how to utilize the result of inventory analysis integrated the life cycle environmental cost accounting, consequently making up the deficiency that life cycle assessment frame lacked the information of environmental cost accounting. On this basis, choosing biomass straight burning power generation system construction project as study case, in order to verify the feasibility of the life cycle assessment model, which is constructed, then have made more satisfactory result. Assessment results ,on one hand, indicated that the model can use to systematic analysis environmental impact in each link of life cycle for renewable energy project, and offered the basis for improving the project craft in further; On the other hand, the model can be used for comparing and analyzing the environmental impact that renewable energy project and other industrial projects produced, through quantization whole life cycle environmental cost which the project produced, can highlight environmental and economic benefits of renewable energy project.
