The wheel loader is one kind of multi-purpose and high-efficient machinery which is applicable to complicated projects, such as mine, capital construction, road construction, enterprise, freight yard, harbor, wharf, coal, water conservancy, national defense in loading and unloading, the shovel transports, lifting heavy objects, hauling and so on . The rising price of steel ,rubber and copper and additional raw materials result in marginal profits for the wheel loader . On the condition that our wheel loader can be brought into full play ,we have set about reducing our costs from manufacturing and materials by redesigning and renovating the cooling system which is one of the indispensible parts for our wheel loader for more profits .We get feedback from the market that overheating often happens to the radiator for our wheel loader in each summer or hot area (ambient temperature above45℃),the coolant for radiator is boiling sometimes in some area , but we do not get any feedback from other area that the radiator is overheated because of different type of wheel loader with different radiators and different working conditions .So what we should do now is to for us to study and know what kind of wheel loader is applicable to different working conditions ,which is instructive and helpful in marketing our products in different areas .We can renovate our radiating system for our products which is specially applicable to the hot area if it is necessary. This dissertation deals with the method from Cummins Company about the applicability of the wheel loader to the different working conditions .This dissertation gives an exhaustive introduction of the structure for the cooling system affecting wheel loader and then a detailed analysis of the main parameters and the installment of the water cooling system of the wheel loader. It has been proved that the radiating area in theory of LG953 wheel loader water radiator is almost identical to the actual radiating area of LG953 wheel loader water radiator and radiating area confirmed by heating power design is extremely effective by taking the design and choice and thermal design for LG953 wheel loader water radiator for example and combining empirical formula with heating power calculation in the confirmation of the theoretical radiating area for LG953 wheel loader water radiator .Some improvements have been made in the cooling system by readjusting the structure parameters for hydraulic liquid ,shaping the core of radiator into square core ,replacing plastic fan with metal fan and so forth ,at last heating balance test is performed on the cooling system for wheel loader with the result of the effective improvements and also we are concomitant with the better economic benefits with the cost reduction of hydraulic liquid by 26.7% and water radiator by 8%.
