With the deterioration of energy and environmental problems, saving energy becomes a global focus. The solar energy application in building construction has already become an important way to release the nation's tension on energy and realize the sustainable development. This thesis is based on the nation's basic condition and the current situation. The analysis integrates the regional compatibility, heritage from tradition and modern technology of solar energy application in building construction. Finally it try to establish a new approach of modern solar energy applications in building construction with regional features. It can be a reference for future related design work. There are five chapters in the thesis and chapter two, three and four are the main contents. There is a literature review in the first chapter. It contains the current energy situation, the nation's energy consuming in buildings and global energy saving strategies. It also explores the history, current situation and existing problems of solar energy in building construction. In second chapter, through a detailed discussion in regional compatibility, economics and technology, the author provides a thread for the solar energy application in building construction with regional features. Hu Zhou city is illustrated as an example. In third chapter, through the technology and compatibility analysis of traditional solar energy application in address, layout, space design and construction components, the author digs out the heritable and reusable thoughts of solar energy application. A design thread of modern application of solar energy has been carried out based on the traditional compatibility technology and Hu Zhou city is illustrated as an example. In chapter four, through the technology and compatibility analysis of the active-mode and passive-mode usage of modern solar energy application, also integrating the construction project in Huzhou City, it provides the thread and strategy of the modern solar energy technology application. In the chapter five, there is a summary and the future direction of solar energy application in building construction has been pointed out.
