There are several kinds of structures of transfer story in practical engineering such as beam transfer structures, truss transfer structures, arch transfer structures, open-web truss transfer structures, box transfer structures, inclined column transfer structures, flat beam transfer structures and so on, by each of which the effect on building are different. An appropriated kind of structures of transfer story is of great practical significance for ensuring design quality, shortening design period, reducing engineering cost and enhancing structures' integrative performance. In the paper, a framed shear wall structure with 3-floor large space transfer story is chosen as research case model,by SATWE software, integral analyses about 102 kinds of calculation model are performed in 6.6m×7.5m~10.5 m×15.0m spans for each 6 kinds of structures of transfer story of framed shear wall structure building. The mechanic parameter and economic index in different spans are both attained, and, an optimized scheme is accordingly proposed for structures of transfer story in different spans. A practical case analysis is also performed in the paper for feasibility checking of this optimized scheme.Based on above analysis, contrasted with box transfer structure, inclined column transfer and PRC beam transfer structure, it is proved that the normal RC beam transfer structure is much more appropriate in low degree seismic fortification intensity area especially for low-rise transferred structures and regular axis grid whose span is not more than 6.6m×7.5m while concerning cost and seismic capacity. So, normal RC beam transfer structure is suggested to be used for short span transfer structure in 6-degree seismic fortification intensity area. However, inclined column transfer and box transfer structure are much more appropriate for longer span, and, given that structural function may be satisfied, inclined column transfer is preferred if a pillar or short-pier is above the beam transfer structure, while, if transfer structure also serves as equipment floor, box transfer structure is preferred. As the span is up to 15m, PRC beam transfer structure is preferred for its lowest cost and best seismic capacity. It is worthy to mention that SRC transfer structure is much more appropriate in high degree seismic fortification intensity area especially for high-rise transferred structures and the building structures with complicated shape because of its excellent seismic capacity in spite of the much higher cost. In the paper, the calculation results are also showed that the comprehensive performance of the flat beam transfer structure is between SRC transfer structure and the others. Contrasted with normal RC beam transfer structure, the flat beam transfer structure may enhance the seismic capacity apparently while serving as support for wall and pillar in high degree seismic fortification intensity area for high-rise transferred structures.
