| Compared with general buildings,sports architecture,in particular the stadium has totally different form and scale.But it does not mean that sport architecture can be designed in isolation,without consideration and respect of surrounding space.Rather, stadium design should be reconsidered from the perspective of city and urban space, which is also the main subject this dissertation will focus on.In dissertation,large modern stadium will be the main research object.Furthermore, on the basis of relevant research review and site investigation,the dissertation will mainly demonstrate the relationship between stadium and urban space,and then classify different stadiums into several types,through theoretical research and case study.The goal of the dissertation is to explain the relations between stadium and urban space,and give the methods of how to design stadium in a comprehensive "urban design" way.This dissertation consists of six chapters.The first chapter is an introduction of background,significance,methodology and purpose.Through researching on urban space development,urban environment,urban economy and urban image,the second chapter is mainly talking about the relationship between stadium and urban development.Besides,in this chapter,a brief introduction of 2006 FIFA World Cup Stadiums is also mentioned.As the core of the dissertation,from the third to the fifth chapter,it will mainly focus on the relationship between stadium and urban space from the perspective of urban design analysis.The third chapter will discuss about the classification standard and method.The forth and fifth chapters will demonstrate three types through case study:fringe,embedment and joint on the basis of comparison.Then the last chapter will be the review and conclusion of the whole dissertation,which also points out the significance and guidance for stadium architecture design from the view of urban space. |
