The Feeder Switchgear is the important line protective equipment in mine. Its operating reliabilty and security have relationship with coal mine routine production and staff's personal safety. In recent years, with the expanding of energy demand year by year and the improvement of mining coal machinery automaticity, the higher request has been put forward with the power supply reliability and the equipment capacity. Seeing from the field of the use, secondary circuit wiring is complexity. When the fault of power grid take place, the Feeder Switchgear cannot cut fault reliably. Each Feeder Switchgear is a isolated unit, the ground monitor and control center cannot know the situation of LV power grid and field equipment. which couldn't meet the require of industry development. The study efficient intelligent Feeder Switchgear is of great realistic significance.This paper aim at the problem of Feeder Switchgear in use, put forward with intelligent Switchgear base on CAN-BUS. The Feeder Switchgear carries on a protection to the Power line fault in the coal mine. It adopt the plan of Adaptive protection which can calculate the value online get rid of traditonal protection plan in detection of power gird short circuit fault and earth fault. The accuracy of protection improved compare with the traditonal protection plan. The security of communication have strengthen when CAN-BUS used in switchgear.Consequently,the ground monitor and control site can detect the working situation of LV power grid and equipment. At the same time,the equipment can product historial record of fault, which convenient the equipmental maintenance. In partion of signal detection,higher capability DSP chip and the technique of AC sampling was used to get the voltage and current of power grid, the accuracy of the detection raised to some extent.Through arithmetic Imitate and build system hardware test towards protecting part, the capability of intelligent Switchgear in protect have a obvious highen. With the improving of automatization level in mine production, intelligent Feeder Switchgear have a wider future.
