Feeder automation is an important guarantee to improve power quality and supplyreliability. Traditional technology is based on two kinds of modes, one is control betweencomputer system and communication network, the other is interaction among switchgear ofDA. But the former not only covers too much time to handle faults, but also it too much relieson controlling master station of distribution network and communication network; while thelatter completes the process of handling faults after lots of reclosers and it generates lagersurge loss for electrical equipments of power network. Aiming at the above conditions, thispaper designs a kind of feeder protection system which is based on the Area-protection.At first, according to theory of surface protection control, this paper thorough analyzesstructure of distribution network and function requirements for feeder terminal units; itchooses high-speed algorithm of feeder terminal units on the base of function requirementsand works out action criteria of faults handling. In addition, control node is applied to dealwith problems of distribution network topology and problem of setting pressure loss ofcontact function of feeder terminal switching time, and the opposite protection control modelof fault handling process is analyzed.Secondly, this paper carries out the feeder terminal units for the design of hardware andsoftware system. The part of hardware adopts TMS320F2812as the core, and this papercarries out design of the ac signal processing module, drive control module as well ascommunication interface circuit. On the basis of the hardware design,it compiles with thecorresponding feeder terminal software system and choose to use a mixture of assemblerlanguage and C language programming method to program the software programming; Infavor of the optimization of program code and convenient for writing and debugging, thesoftware system adopts modular design structure so as to write separate the function modules,when each module debugging success, alignment last cohesion constitute the feeder terminalunit of software systems.Finally, this paper conducts the simulation experiment for the designed surfaceprotection control model. The feeder terminal judges the fault and on-site operation commandafter the comprehensive information which is based on the criterion of the fault, then itrealizes the function of surface protection and proves the feasibility of the scheme.
