The Research On Design Process Reuse Faced To Structure Transforming And Its Application

Reusing the processes of parts variant design is important in improving the design efficiency. This paper focused on the process modeling of parts variant design, and the automated topology-reconstruction method in re-variation. The paper designed the prototype system for design processes reusing, and gave out the instances of its application in structure design.Chapterâ… introduced the status quo of variant design, design reuse, and design process modeling at home and abroad, analyzed the existing problems in related technologies, then, discusses the significance of the study on variant design process reuse. And the organization of the paper is given in the end.Chapterâ…¡analyzed the data form of the parts, sub-parts and transplanting structures, and then gave out the computing method of the parts geometry. Transplant structures were gained through analyzing lots of different categories of spare parts, and at last the process of structure transplantation was given in details.Chapterâ…¢worked out the design-semantics set which was faced to the transplantation of structures. Then introduced how the design-semantics linked to the topology objects, gave out computing method of the design-semantics similarity. After that this chapter studied the automation of topology-matching in re-variation.Chapterâ…£studied the FlowMark, and gave out the simplified process model of structure variation design. Guided by the process model, this chapter worked out the process data set. Finally, the workflow of reusing the transplanting processes was established with expanded FlowMark.Chapterâ…¤designed and developed the process reuse module in VS.Net 2003 with ACIS/Hoops 3D modeling engine. And several structure design instances using this module were illustrated.Chapterâ…¥summarized the characteristics of the study done in this paper and the performance of the reuse module, and took a prospect of the future study in the end.
