With the growing urgent requirement of large marine, the research of the whole design, verification, experiment are deeply developed. The power equipment of steam is the core component of large marine, and its thermal system is not only huge, but the structure and thermo dynamic process are very complex, the requirements to the security, economy and reliability are very high. In order to strengthen the research of large marine's thermal system, deeply understand and grasp the dynamic performance, validate effectively and guide the operation and design, the main work in this paper is to build the mathematical models and simulation platform of large marine's thermal system, making use of the modern technology the cost of which is low and the efficient of that is high.Modular modeling and the theory of lumped parameter are adopted in the paper to build the mathematic models of boiler system and turbine system, based on building the theoretical mathematical model of the furnace, steam drum, riser, superheater, economiser, body of turbine, condenser, valves and so on. Make use of the software Matlab/Simulink to build the simulation models of components of marine's thermal system and form the store of models. And then, according to the structure and principle of the actual system, do the connection of models to accomplish the system of fuel boiler, the turbine, the simulation configuration and the mask of the whole thermal system, so form the simulation platform of large steam marine's thermal system.The components of marine's thermal system are designed for mutually independent sub-model in the paper, and they are parts of the whole simulation system and also independently run. According to the difference of the research, choose the components models of simulation store to form the simulation configuration and build the simulation platform of different specific types of marine's thermal system.Via the simulation of the different parameters'disturbances, the dynamic response curves of several important parameters are obtained, which are compared with those of the actual operation conditions and are theoretically analyzed. The results show that it is the effective method to study the character of large marine's thermal system for modeling and simulation using the software Simulink.The result of research is not only helpful for the research of dynamic performances, the guide of system design and the training of operators, but lays the foundation for further research of the visual simulation platform.
