Along with the increase of national consumption level and the international imports and exports operations, the economy of China has already achieved sustainable development. All of these factors bring along the rapid development of paper packaging industry. Die cutting is the most important working procedure in it, which is used to realize cutting and indentation. Paper packages often need die cutting. It is very significant to develop die cutting technology, remove die cutting troubles and improve die cutting quality, which can improve the development of our paper packaging industry.This article starts from the shortages of our modern national PU foam in the use of auto-die cutting crafts. It studies the effects of the perimeter and the length of the steel knife, the thickness of the cardboard and the number of the nick on the force of friction between the steel knife and the cardboard, which elicits the formulas of the force of friction from little blocking out one side cardboard in the flotsam towards the steel knife and the force of friction from the linear steel knife towards the cardboard. It elicits the relationship among the PU strips' compressive strength, compressive modulus and rigidity by testing many kinds of PU strips' capability. Distinguish the positions stuck PU strips in the die cutting printing plate into places of small area flotsam, common steel knife and box- type main body joint. Analyze separately the compressive modulus which is needed in every situation and get the relevant mathematics model. Bring forward the application method of PU strips in the die cutting printing plate and the paste pictures of PU strips in the die cutting plate.The law from the research of this article can be combined with the characteristic of the cardboard and applied to the production practice of making die cutting plate which will do a great deal of good to improve the quality of die cutting and improve the development of packaging industry.
