Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Machinery Manufacturing Company (MMC for short) is a typical manufacturing enterprise which products are mainly metallurgy, rolled steel and mining spare parts and the large size scale of complete metallurgical equipments. Order driving mode of product and many large-scale complex parts manufactured are two characteristics of production process of Machinery Manufacture Company, so its workshop manufacturing system faces various complex production situations, which are wide variety, several variable production processes, long manufacturing cycle, frequent treatment of urgent orders etc. How to make workshop production process manufacturing system in MMC efficiently deal with various complicated production situations, the company is facing in the actual production of the urgent need to resolve one of the major problems. Therefore, this paper with the characteristics of MMC production process and problems faced by workshop manufacturing systems, from the perspective of the overall operation of workshop manufacturing system, studies the operation mode of its workshop manufacturing system.First, the basic situation of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Machinery Manufacturing Company and the production features of its manufacturing process for analysis, it is pointed out that its workshop manufacturing system faces the production process problems. On the basis of the production features of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Machinery Manufacturing Company and the problems faced by its production process, a integrated operation mode of workshop manufacturing system at the core of production equipments is pointed out, the overall framework of the integrated operation mode is established, and the integrated operation mode is described from multi-view, such as organization view, resources view, process view and information view.On the basis of the above research, in order to support effective implementation of the workshop integrated operation mode, information support system and other critical systems of its integrated operation mode are studied, including the design of the overall framework of information support system, functional architecture, and the principles and steps of the implementation of the system. Based on this, with Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Machinery Manufacturing Company's production status, CNC equipments in workshop manufacturing system are selected as the implementation of object. The application of the implementation of the information support system made a good effect.
