Some feasible types of stabilization fins for the ejection system have been designed according to some rules aim to the situation of escape system field. Three main parameters which form the type of stabilization fins were defined as the variables. The CFD code used was FASTRAN, which employs Chimera techniques,Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes code and standard k-εmodel with wall function. The steady aerodynamic characteristics of the seat/occupant system with variable sizes of stabilization fins were investigated and the results were demonstrated and validated by 6DOF analysis. The results show that the yaw-stability of seat/occupant system with stabilization fins has a perceptible improvement and the fins have no negative effect on other aerodynamic characteristics. Such method could be developed as an aid to the preliminary design and configuration optimization analysis of the ejection seat.
